When someone dies, it can be overwhelming to suddenly have to arrange a funeral.

But it does not have to be that way.

Having assisted many families navigate such an important yet emotional chapter in their life, I have put together a free, brief guide on the key steps in arranging a funeral.

I hope you find the 5 steps set out here helpful in your journey to plan and design a funeral for your loved one that is authentic, meaningful and affordable.

I once conducted a memorial service where the ashes were driven into the backyard on a ride-on mower. The deceased had been an early inventor of the mower and it just seemed like the right way to enter the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, everyone partook of a little whiskey and champagne in his honour.
